Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("you", "the customer") and Kingpin Sites ("we", "us"). By requesting a free preview, approving a website, or buying any service from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. What we do

We design and build simple websites for small businesses, create logos, set up Google Business Profile (Google Maps) listings, and offer optional add-on services such as listing management, advertising management, video ads, extra pages and business email setup. We are a private business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for Google, Meta, or any government agency.

2. Free preview

  1. A preview is a sample web page we build for your business at no charge. It is not a live website, it is not indexed by search engines, and it may use information you gave us or information that is publicly available about your business (for example a public business or license register). We aim to send a requested preview within one business day, but this is a target, not a promise.
  2. You may ask for changes to the preview. We may limit revisions to a reasonable number before purchase.
  3. A preview does not create any obligation on your part to buy, and it does not create any obligation on our part to publish it. We may remove a preview at any time.
  4. If you believe a preview shows your business and you want it removed, email hello@kingpinsites.com and we will remove it promptly.

3. The website package

  1. What is included: one one-page website on a domain registered for your business, one logo, set-up of your Google Business Profile, a contact or quote form, click-to-call, and the first twelve (12) months of hosting, plus small text updates (hours, phone, prices, wording) at no charge for as long as hosting is paid.
  2. Price: US $499, one time, due when you approve the website and before it goes live. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply.
  3. Hosting renewal: after the first twelve months, hosting (including the domain renewal and small text updates) renews at US $150 per year. We will remind you before renewal. You may cancel renewal at any time before it is charged; if you cancel, we will hand over your domain and site files (see section 7) and the site will go offline at the end of the paid period.
  4. Timing: we usually publish a site within a few business days after approval and payment, once you have given us any content we asked for (for example your logo preferences, photos or text). Delays caused by missing content, domain availability or third-party verification are not our fault.
  5. Google Business Profile: Google decides whether a business qualifies for a listing and requires the business owner to verify it (often by video or postcard). We set the listing up and guide you through verification, but we cannot guarantee Google will approve or keep any listing, or where it will rank.

4. Add-on services

  1. Add-ons are optional and are billed as shown on our website at the time you order them. Monthly add-ons are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. To cancel, email hello@kingpinsites.com or reply to any invoice; we confirm by email, the add-on stops at the end of the paid month, and there is no cancellation fee.
  2. Google Maps, reviews and local SEO: we manage your real listing (posts, photos, hours, replies) and help you ask your own real customers for reviews. We never write, buy or post fake reviews, and we will not ask you to. Search rankings depend on Google and on your competitors; we do not guarantee any position, traffic or number of reviews.
  3. Advertising management: we set up and manage campaigns on Google Ads or Meta (Facebook and Instagram). The advertising budget is paid by you directly to Google or Meta through your own ad account, which you own and control. Our management fee is separate and does not include ad spend. We do not guarantee leads, sales or any advertising result, and we are not responsible for platform decisions such as ad disapprovals or account restrictions.
  4. Video ads, extra pages, business email: one-time services delivered as described on our website. Business email is provided through a third-party provider (for example Google Workspace) whose fees, if any, are paid by you.
  5. Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Google Workspace and Meta ads are provided by those companies under their own terms and policies, which you accept when you use them. We are not responsible for changes, suspensions or costs they impose.

5. Payment, refunds and cancellation

  1. Payment is by card through an invoice we send you. We may use a payment processor; its terms apply to the payment itself.
  2. Because you see and approve the website before you pay, the $499 package is non-refundable once the site has been published. If you change your mind after paying but before we publish, tell us and we refund the payment, less the cost of the domain if we have already registered it. If we are unable to publish the site after payment for reasons within our control, we will refund you in full.
  3. Hosting renewals and monthly add-ons are refundable only for the unused portion if we terminate the service without cause. Cancelling an add-on stops future charges; it does not refund the current period.
  4. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund right you have under applicable consumer law.

6. Your content and your responsibilities

  1. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your website and listing: business name, services, prices, licenses, service area, phone and email.
  2. You confirm that you have the right to use any text, photos, logos or other material you give us, and that your business information is truthful. You agree not to ask us to publish anything unlawful, misleading, infringing or defamatory.
  3. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to your business, including licensing, advertising and consumer-protection rules.
  4. If someone makes a claim against us because of information or material you gave us, or because of how you run your business, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, of dealing with that claim.
  5. You must be at least 18 and have the authority to act for the business you name.

7. Ownership

  1. Once you have paid for the website package, you own the finished website content and design for your business and the logo we created for you. We keep the right to reuse our general templates, code, tools and techniques for other customers, and to show your website in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
  2. The domain name is registered for your business. On request, and once any amounts due are paid, we will transfer the domain to a registrar account in your name and give you the site files.
  3. Third-party materials (fonts, stock images, software) stay under their own licenses.

8. Hosting and availability

We host sites with reputable third-party providers and aim for the site to be available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not responsible for outages caused by hosting providers, domain registrars, internet networks or events outside our control. We may move the site to a different provider with no change to your service. We are also not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as internet or power outages, natural disasters, war, government action or third-party service failures.

9. Communications

When you give us your phone number or email, we may contact you about your preview, your order and your services. If your business details are public, we may send you one short message or email offering a free preview. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying STOP to a text or by emailing hello@kingpinsites.com, and we stop immediately. We do not sell your contact details.

10. No guarantees; limitation of liability

  1. We do not guarantee that a website, listing, advertising or any other service will produce any particular number of customers, calls, sales, rankings or reviews.
  2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned in the twelve (12) months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business.
  3. We build sites using common accessibility practices, but we do not promise that a site meets any specific accessibility law or standard (such as the ADA or WCAG). If your business needs a particular standard, tell us before you order.
  4. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using our services at any time. We may end or suspend a service if you do not pay, if you break these Terms, or if we can no longer provide it, in which case we will refund any unused prepaid period. Sections 6, 7, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. General

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of that state, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to another forum.
  2. We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
  3. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about our services.
